Commercial Pilot's Licence (CPL)

A CPL is the basic licence required before you can apply for flying jobs, although there are further qualifications that you will need for most commercial work.

You Need:

Your Commercial Pilots Licence Course can be 32-36 weeks Full Time or, alternatively, can be done over a longer period on a part time basis. Mainland Aviation College's course is the full 200 hour CAA course.

The theory subjects shown cover the NZ CAA syllabus for CPL. The 200 hour requirement prior to flight test includes the students PPL hours. The training requires that you have completed formal training including Cross Country hours and associated flight test (conducted internally) and instrument flight time requirements.

An independent Flight Examiner will conduct your CPL Flight Test.
